Facebook Post Leads to Arrest of 4 Men Behind 31 Car Burglaries, NJ Police Say

BRIDGETON — State Police are again crediting people on Facebook, this time for helping to find and arrest four suspects wanted for 31 car burglaries in South Jersey.

After posting about a suspicious fire inside a former bowling alley on East Commerce Street in Fairfield in Cumberland County, State Police said they received tips that led to the arrest of Todd Lloyd, 26, of Fairfield.

A witness was able to help identify a suspicious vehicle seen leaving the area following the fire on Nov. 3, according to State Police.

The investigation uncovered that not only was Lloyd responsible for the fire but that three other men were involved with breaking into 31 cars in Hopewell and Fairfield, police say.

Robert English III, 25, of Fairfield, and Blair Crabtree, 20, and Phillip Davis, 30, both of Bridgeton, were charged in the burglaries.

Three of the suspects are being held at the Cumberland County Jail while Davis is already incarcerated at the Cape May Count Jail on unrelated charges.

"This was an outstanding job by Bridgeton Station troopers and detectives and an outstanding job by all of our supporters for help getting the word out on social media. We're all in it for the big win on this one," State Police wrote on their Facebook page.
