A single crash in the westbound lanes of the Black Horse Pike near Route 50 Monday night claimed the life of a 16-year-old Buena Vista Township boy.

Hamilton Township Police say a car driven by Jaime Hannah, 18, of Newfield struck a utility pole, causing a fire.

A passenger in the back seat, a 16-year-old boy from Newtonville, died from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver, Hannah, was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Police say they were the only two people in the car.

The accident remains under investigation.
