Somers Point Police busted a pot growing operation and arrested five people Monday, according to The Press of Atlantic City.

Police investigating a marijuana growing operation searched a home on the 600 block of 4th Street in Somers Point and seized over 30 pot plants, tents, lighting, chemicals and exhaust systems that were used to grow marijuana.

The Press of Atlantic City reports that Somers Point Police arrested three city residents - Jonathon Millner, 42; Richard Heiler, 34; and Lindsey Smith, 24; and charged each of them with the manufacturing and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance , possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of more than 50 grams of pot.

Two other men, Zarchary Roberts, 25, of Marmora, and Michael Jones, 25, of Egg Harbor Township, were each charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Somers Point Police Chief Robert Somers.

The men were released on a pending court summons.
