Girlfriend Charged With Stabbing Vineland Man With Kitchen Knife
A Vineland man was stabbed three times by his girlfriend and suffered a broken rib and a punctured lung, according to police. The woman is in jail facing attempted murder charges.
The attack happened on Oct 25, while visiting a friend at the Oakview Apartments on East Broad Street in Millville. The Vineland Daily Journal reports that Christina Roane, 22, of Sicklerville, attacked her 27-year old boyfriend with a kitchen knife, stabbing him three times in the back.
The police report says the victim, whose name has not been released, realized he had been stabbed and left the apartment and went out to the parking lot, where he pulled the knife out of his back and threw it under a car. He was then taken to Inspira Hospital.
Police say that two of the man's wounds were found to be superficial, but the third wound was deep enough to be fatal, breaking a rib and puncturing his left lung. The victim was taken to Cooper University Hospital for surgery.
Christina Roane is being held in the Cumberland County Jail pending trial on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and weapons charges.
