A million-dollar Powerball ticket was sold for Saturday night's drawing at a convenience store in South Jersey.

A ticket purchased at Xpress Food Mart in Woodlynne, Camden County, hit the $1 million second prize by matching five balls, but not the Powerball.

Although no one in the Garden State won a share of the monster $1.8 billion jackpot, New Jersey also had 16 third prize Powerball winners - five worth $100,000 and 11 worth $50,000, according to state lottery officials.

The $100,000 winners spent an extra $1 on the multiplier.

The $1.8 billion first prize jackpot was split between winning tickets in Texas and Missouri.

The $1.787 billion jackpot ranks behind only the world-record $2.04 billion Powerball prize won in California in November 2022.

“Congratulations to the players in Texas and Missouri,” New Jersey Lottery Director James Carey said in a statement. “This has been an incredible run.”

The jackpot had been growing since May 31, with a record 42 consecutive drawings without a grand prize winner.

Saturday night's winners also included $100,000 winners from Erma, Cape May County, and Toms River, Ocean County, and a $50,000 jackpocket winner playing online in Ocean County.
