If you did a double take when you read the headline that someone in South Jersey won $4 million on a lottery scratch-off ticket, you aren't alone.

But, that's what happened on Saturday.

$4 Million Lottery Ticket Told at South Jersey Gas Station

A New Jersey Lottery scratch-off ticket worth $4 million was sold on Saturday at a gas station in Salem County, lottery officials said on Monday.

The lucky ticket for the '200X Cash Blitz' game was sold at the Sunoco Foodmart in Elmer.

That is the most exciting thing to happen in Elmer, New Jersey since the West Jersey Railroad came to town in 1862. The railroad is gone now, but it was exciting while it lasted.

Why the Cash Prize Is So Large

The winning ticket is the first of three $4 million tickets to be sold among the 8,897,860 tickets printed for the game. The 200X Cash Blitz tickets cost $30 each.

You have a 1 in 2.97 million chance of winning the top prize.

In addition to two remaining $4 million winning tickets remaining, there are 10 of the 12 remaining second-prize winning tickets worth $50,000 each and 36 remaining $10,000 winning tickets.
