LaMarr Greer Steps Down as Middle Township Basketball Coach
The Middle Township boys' basketball team needs a new leader.
After five seasons as boys' head basketball coach, LaMar Greer is stepping down, the school announced in a social media post from Middle Township High School Principal Dr. Sharon Rementer.
Middle Township High School announces, with both pride and gratitude, the resignation of beloved Head Basketball Coach LaMarr Greer, who will take on a new opportunity too good to pass up.
Greer, a 1994 Middle Township graduate, returned to lead his alma mater in 2021 after serving on Tom Feraco's coaching staff.
A Legacy of Championship Success
During these five seasons, the Panthers went 104-44 and returned to past glory by winning two South Jersey championships, a Cape Atlantic League championship, and four conference titles.
Greer led the Panthers to an 18-12 (11-1 in Cape Atlantic League American Conference) mark during the 2025-26 season, highlighted by an upset win over South Jersey Group II power, Camden, in the South Jersey Group II Tournament.
As a player at Middle, Greer led the Panthers to a NJSIAA Group II state championship in both 1993 and 1994, going on to have a successful collegiate career at Florida State and playing professionally in Europe.
To say LaMarr Greer is irreplaceable is not an overstatement. He leaves behind a standard that will continue to shape our basketball program and our students for years to come. We are saddened to see him go, but we are excited for him as he begins his next chapter. We want our students to see LaMarr Greer’s journey as a reflection of what is possible. This is what we do at Middle Township — we prepare, we support and we celebrate growth and opportunity.
Looking Ahead: The Future of the Panthers
The Panther graduate three seniors, Chase Mooore, Alex Daniel, and Adam Bouabbache, but the next coach will hope to retain a strong stable of Juniors, including guard Mason Murawski, Kanye Perkins, and Michael Farrow.
