The website 24/7 Wall Street gathered research results from the survey company YouGov to find out who are the most popular Folk Music Artists. YouGov surveyed thousands of people who are considered Millenials, a group according to Britannica born between 1981-1996.

Two of the Top Ten Musicians on the Most Popular Folk Music Artists are from New Jersey

At number five on the 24/7 Wall Street List is Paul Simon. Born in Newark, New Jersey and one of the name members of the famous musical duo, Simon and Garfunkel, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Simon has won Grammy Awards for both his solo and collaborative musical work.

Ranked the Fourth Most Popular Folk Artist is Bruce Springsteen. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey, this Rock Star is arguably one of the most famous people from New Jersey. "The Boss" has produced albums with The Seeger Sessions Band, establishing his place in the Folk Music Genre.
