North Cape May Man Arrested for Assaulting Man at Local Bar
Lower Township Police arrested a local man after some sort of altercation at a local bar Sunday evening.
Police say they were called out to the 5 West Pub in the North Cape May section of Lower Township, where a man had reportedly been assaulted.
According to police, Nicholas DiCarlo told them he was struck above his right eye, by a man with an unknown object in his hand. Police say "DiCarlo had sustained a serious injury to his head and was bleeding from a laceration just above his right eye. His eye was swollen shut and he complained of blurred vision."
An investigation led them to arrest David C. Hughes, 51, of North Cape May. He was arrested at his home and taken into custody. He was charged with Aggravated Assault.
