A woman from Northfield was arrested when she returned to the scene of a crash that injured a teenager.

According to Atlantic City Police, at 11:57 Monday night, an officer was responding to a call for service when he located a 16-year-old woman in the road in the 200 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The juvenile had been struck by a vehicle that left the scene.

Cops say she was seriously injured and taken to ARMC-City to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Shortly after 3AM, authorities say 28-year-old Shelby Frasier of Northfield arrived back at the scene of the crash to report her involvement. She was arrested by an officer who was investigating the crash.

Frasier was charged with assault by auto, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident with serious bodily injury, and multiple motor vehicle summons. She was released on a summons with a future court date.
