With the Phillies sending starter Nick Pivetta to Triple-A, the team could be looking for a veteran arm to take his spot in the rotation.

According to veteran USA Today reporter Bob Nightengale, the Phillies are one of the teams showing 'strong interest' in Texas lefty Mike Minor.

Minor, 31, is off to a strong start this season, going 2-1, posting a 2.60 ERA, and 0.94 WHIP through four starts this season.  Adding Minor to the mix would give the Phillies three pretty durable pitchers at the top of the rotation.

He signed a three-year, $28 million free agent contract with Texas in December, 2017.
