Plane Lands on Beach in Ocean City

A small aircraft landed on the beach at the south end of Ocean City Saturday morning.

The incident happened just before 9AM at 49th Street beach, The Press of Atlantic City reports.

Details are minimal at the moment, but the model of the plane was a Cessna 182, according to NBC New York.

There's no word yet on what forced the plane into the emergency landing, but an investigation is underway. The aircraft did reportedly sustain some damage.
