Police Arrest Driver After Hit-and-run in Lower Township

Lower Township police arrested a 50-year-old Florida man who was involved in a hit-and-run accident with a bicyclist Thursday night.

According to The Press of Atlantic City, the man was allegedly intoxicated when he struck the bicyclist on the Route 109 bridge in Cape May and fled the scene of the accident.

21-year-old Wildwood resident, Gratiano Dini, suffered serious injures due to being struck and is listed in critical condition, according to the report.

Police located the car involved in the accident on Wildwood Avenue with help for an eyewitness report and have arrested the driver, Sherm C. Jenkins of Orlando, FF.
