Police Try to Solve Case of Woman Dead on Road in Pleasantville

Not many details are known, but we do know that a woman who was found on a road in Pleasantville was rushed to a hospital and pronounced dead.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says Pleasantville Police responded to a 911 call about a woman on the road on Prospect Avenue back on November 19th.

No information about the woman's identity has been released - nor has the reason that authorities are just releasing the information now.

According to a news release from the Prosecutor's Office, an "autopsy was subsequently performed and the cause and manner of death are still pending."

The investigation is ongoing.
