Stafford Twp. Wawa Will No Longer Give Out Plastic Bags Because of Ban
I came across this sign while browsing on social media and I just had to post. The sign looks like something that store management put together and it wasn't from the corporation, so it's likely just happening in this specific store.
The sign reads: "Starting on Thursday 12/6, we will no longer have plastic bags as per the bag ban put into effect by the town."
I just couldn't believe my eyes, so I gave the location a call just to make sure that this was true. I talked to a customer service representative at the store and they told me that it was, in fact, true.
According to tapinto.net, Stafford Township council approved the regulation and limitation of plastic bags back in July. The article goes on to mention that after the implementation date in July, local businesses will have 120 days to fall in line and here we are just a little over 120 days later.
What do you think? Do you think that this "ban" is just or have we gone off the deep end?
