Hard Rock casino reached an agreement with Atlantic City's main casino workers union on Saturday, removing the last threat of a strike during the busy holiday weekend.
The chairman of the global Hard Rock casino and entertainment company spoke recently with Gov. Phil Murphy about the “economic challenges” of banning smoking in casinos, which a bill pending in the state Legislature would do.
Hard Rock would need permission from New Jersey voters to build in the Meadowlands — a plan in 2016 that would have authorized casinos outside Atlantic City was soundly rejected.
