Eroded beaches and sand-clogged inlets are just a couple of problems facing shore communities. Projects underway in Ocean and Atlantic Counties are taking sand from inlets and dumping it onto beaches that need widening.

Wrapping up a survey of New Jersey beaches following the storm, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection saw no major problems as of Thursday afternoon.

Ten to 20-foot waves battered the coast during the storm taking away huge chunks of beach.

The survey from the Department of Environmental Protection, released Thursday afternoon, looks at 66 municipalities and beach areas.
