News of Ron Hextall’s dismissal as GM is still resonating days later. Friday morning, Hextall stood in a conference room at a hotel across the street from the Flyers practice facility and addressed the media.

First, it was the news of Ron Hextall’s firing on Monday. Tuesday was the press conference in an attempt to explain why and where things go from here. Wednesday was the start of further action.

If anything was indicative in this game, it's that the Flyers certainly know that a lot of change could lie in store, but the results aren't going to change without max effort.

The reaction to the Flyers dismissal of Ron Hextall as GM was similar around the locker room: this was a shocking change.

Team president Paul Holmgren announced that GM Ron Hextall has been relieved of his duties effective immediately.
