Millions in New Jersey school funds remain missing after a successful scam.

Nearly $5 million has been stolen from a school district in Middlesex County after it was tricked by a cyber criminal, according to local officials.

Spotswood police said someone ran over seven geese as they crossed Devoe Avenue around 6:45 p.m. along Devoe Lake on July 14. The vehicle didn't stop and all seven were killed.

Raymond Remus, 45, of Spotswood, was initially arrested on Thursday. Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said two additional victims under the age of 18 have come forward.

Similar charges against Raymond Remus were dismissed in 2022 because the testimony of the victims was deemed "unreliable and unusable."
