New Jersey finishes low in many surveys. Not this time! New Jersey is the 3rd best state in America for teen drivers, according to a just released WalletHub.com survey.
Under current law, New Jersey does not require any supervised hours of driving to obtain a license. Only two other states, Arkansas and Mississippi, do not require practice hours.
New Jersey does well when it comes to safety. It has most of the optimal graduated licensing provisions. It has one of the oldest ages that teens are even able to drive, which helps with teen driver fatalities.
