Three men who were wanted for the shooting of a man in Atlantic City have been arrested.

The men were charged following an investigation into the shooting of a man on March 15 at South Carolina and Baltic Avenues, according to the ACPD.

Cops say,

On March 27, 2020 at 11:57 am, Officers Kevin Perez and Christian Ivanov responded to the 500 block of north Tennessee Avenue for a report of a male waving a handgun around. While responding they observed a car pass them being driven by one of the juvenile males who was wanted. The juvenile also fit the description of the male waving the handgun. The officers attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop, but the juvenile sped away. The officers pursued the vehicle to the 1300 block of Magellan Avenue. The juvenile driver exited the car and began to run. Officer Ivanov chased the male and watched him throw a fanny pack to the ground. It was quickly recovered by Officer Valmir Loga and contained a loaded handgun. Officer Ivanov was able to apprehend the fleeing male and take him into custody.

After the vehicle stopped, Officer Perez arrested the vehicle’s passenger, Jermaine Daniels, without incident. The vehicle had been reported as stolen.

As a crowd of people began to form in the area, Officers Loga and Jeffrey Hannon observed a second wanted juvenile. Joined by Sergeant James Herbert, the officers approached the male who ran inside an apartment building. They located him inside his residence and he attempted to flee and hide. The officers took him into custody after a struggle that included the male spitting on officers. Once inside the rear of a patrol car, the juvenile began to kick the inside the of the vehicle. He was also found in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

At 3:59 pm, Officer Aaron Jones saw the third wanted male at Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard and Adriatic Avenue. The male was taken into custody without incident. He was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

ARRESTED: A 17-year-old male from Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Two counts each of unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, aggravated assault, conspiracy, eluding, obstruction of justice, and receiving stolen property.

ARRESTED: A 17-year-old male from Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, conspiracy, aggravated assault on a police officer, throwing bodily fluids on a police officer, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

ARRESTED: A 15-year-old male from Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, conspiracy, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

All three juveniles were remanded to the Harborfields Detention Facility.

ARRESTED: Jermaine Daniels, a 22-year-old man from Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Joyriding

Daniels was released on a summons with a future court date.
