Toms River Man in a Heap of Trouble for Uploading Child Porn
He is nowhere near the first one to do it or even wrapped in the most heinous of cases but this disturbing trend continues to rear its ugly head in Ocean County, the Jersey Shore and beyond.
It's been almost three years, in fact, since one of the worst crimes in this category, not just around here but in the entire state took place after a Lakewood man was found with more than 36,000 images of child pornography and that got him six-years in prison.
31-year old Anthony White accrued over 36,000 child porn videos and images on his computer devices, one of the largest libraries of these lewd images/videos ever.
He was one of 40-men arrested in 2016 during "Operation Statewide", a child pornography sweep by the New Jersey Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which includes the New Jersey State Police, Division of Criminal Justice, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations, and numerous state, county and local law enforcement agencies.
In the latest chid porn case announced today, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said that Henry Ziolkowski, 56, of Toms River, is being sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison, following a previously entered guilty plea on December 1, 2020 to Possession of Child Pornography.
In addition to spending some time in prison, Ziolkowski will also be subject to Parole Supervision for Life.
His lewd activity was discovered by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children who made several referrals through the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which, in turn, identified a residence in Toms River as the location where someone was uploading child pornography.
So, on July 7, 2020, Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit and Toms River Police executed a search warrant at the home.
Detectives then seized a computer belonging to Ziolkowski which contained numerous images of child pornography.
He was promptly arrested and processed at Toms River Police headquarters and then brought to the Ocean County Jail where he has been ever since.
Ocean County Assistant Prosecutor Shanon Chant-Berry handled this case on behalf of the State.
