Tuckerton Man’s Van Jumps Curb, Hits Woman at Atlantic City Outlets

A 63-year-old Hornell, NY, woman sustained serious injuries Wednesday afternoon when she was struck by a van while on a sidewalk at Michigan and Arctic Avenues in Atlantic City.

Atlantic City Police say Mario Macellari, 52, of Tuckerton was driving a van when it left the roadway and struck the unnamed woman.

Police say Macellari was charged with Aggravated assault, assault by auto, DWI, reckless driving, careless driving, and unlicensed driver. He was taken to the Atlantic County Jail.

The woman was taken to the Atlantic City Medical Center with serious injuries. There has been no update on her condition.
