The Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office says a 27-year-old Vineland man has been arrested for a shooting that happened on Route 55 in Millville back on July 24th.

The Prosecutor's Office says Marese Washington was arrested Thursday for the shooting of  Kesean Bey, 26, of Millville.

The Prosecutor's Office released these details of the incident that occurred on the 24th, just after midnight:

Just prior to the shooting, Washington’s white Kia Optima was observed at the Wawa located on North 2nd Street in Millville which then followed Bey’s vehicle northbound out of the parking lot. Numerous rounds were fired into Bey’s vehicle while he was driving on Route 55. As a result of the shooting Bey suffered a gunshot wound to his head and remains in critical condition. Investigators linked both Washington and his vehicle to the shooting.

Washington has been charged with Conspiracy to Commit Murder.
