76-Year-Old Atlantic City Man Charged with Sex Crimes Against Child
An Atlantic City man is facing a number of charges after being arrested for a number of sexual crimes against a child.
Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner says Santos Torres, 76, was arrested Tuesday. He's charged with:
- 2nd degree Sexual Assault
- 3rd degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child
- 4th degree Criminal Sexual Contact
- 4th degree Committing an act of Sexual Penetration by a Diseased Person
According to Tyner,
The investigation was led by Det. Daniel Choe and Sgt. Carlton Durham of ACPO’s SVU Unit. The State has moved to detain Torres, pending his detention hearing. Assistant Prosecutor Dave Ruffenach represents the State.
