Did more sonic booms shake South Jersey on Monday?

According to the news site Newsworks, several people reported feeling more shaking around 12:15 p.m. in Lavallette, Brick, Toms River and Point Pleasant. The Press of Atlantic City reports "booming noises and shaking" in Little Egg Harbor.

Much of New Jersey was shaken last Thursday by what turned out to be nine sonic booms likely the result of test flights by a F-35C aircraft and a F/A 18 out of NAS Patuxent River in Maryland.

There was no seismic activity  in New Jersey or along the east coast recorded on the U.S. Geological Survey website on Monday afternoon. USGS geophysicist Julie Dutton, based in Golden, Colorado, said she had not received any calls about possible earthquakes in New Jersey.

"That's not unusual especially if its something smaller" that last week's shakes said Dutton.

NAS Patuxent spokeswoman Connie Hempel was checking on possible test flights today.
