Atlantic City Bus Accident Hurts Dozens
Dozens are hurt in a chain reaction bus crash in Atlantic City.
NJ Transit tells WCAU TV the accident on Arctic Avenue at Virginia Avenue in front of the Altman Terrace apartments around 3 p.m. was a chain reaction crash involving the 504 bus that runs from Ventnor to Atlantic City. A A SUV hit a car which ran into the bus.
18 people have been hospitalized according to WCAU TV. 12 of those hospitalized were on board the bus including 10 adults and two children. 3 people were from one of the vehicles involved in the crash according to WMGM TV. The Press of Atlantic City tweets that three people are critically injured.
Fire Chief Dennis Brooks told WMGM TV the bus was picking up or dropping off a wheelchair at the time of the accident.
