Body Found On Ocean City Beach Identified as Missing Sea Tow Boat Captain
According to The Press of Atlantic City, the State Police have confirmed a male body found in Ocean City today is that of Sea Tow boat captain David McAuliffe.
David McAuliffe disappeared when his Sea Tow boat, the Cape Hatteras, sank off the Great Egg Harbor Inlet on April 23. The Coast Guard suspended its search for the 34-year-old two days later.
Ron and Beverley Denney tell the Press of Atlantic City they were walking along the beach and saw police Wednesday morning. Beverley Denney says she found a paddle yesterday that came from the vessel.
The 49-foot-long boat was raised Sunday after it was found upside down and partially buried in sand on Thursday night.
