Bridgeton Man Pleads Guilty in Atlantic County to Human Trafficking For Sex
A Bridgeton man has pleaded guilty to human trafficking of a minor for sex with an adult.
According to Atlantic County First Assistant Prosecutor Cary Shill, Marcus E. Tukes, 47, of Bridgeton, made the plea yesterday.
According to Shill:
Marcus Tukes is a predator, pure and simple. He has made a career of perpetuating human slavery through prostitution. Under Prosecutor Tyner’s leadership, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office is committed to rehabilitating victims of human trafficking, while aggressively pursuing and prosecuting those who force them into the sex trade industry against their will.
Sentencing is scheduled for November 17th. According to a plea agreement already reached, Tukes will receive a sentence of 10 years in state prison.
