A Somers Point resident is now facing over a dozen counts of burglary and theft after she was caught trying to break into cars Monday.

Somers Point Police arrested 31-year-old Lynette Trainor Monday as she attempted to break into vehicles parked on Colwick Drive. A further Investigation revealed that Trainor had committed several car burglaries between September 26th and October 13th in which she entered open vehicles and removed cash or change, according to police.

Trainor was charged with 15 counts of burglary and theft and was placed in the Atlantic County Jail on $30,000 cash bail. Police continue to ask residents to lock their vehicles and report suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
