Christie to Deliver State of the State at 3PM [WATCH/LISTEN LIVE]
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will deliver his sixth State of the State address before a joint legislative session at 3 p.m. Listen to it live on WPG Talk Radio 1450AM and 104.9FM-HD2, and here at wpg1450.com.
In a series of tweets Tuesday, Christie said," We've made a lot of progress in New Jersey and I believe our best days are ahead of us" and hit what he believes are his accomplishments in education, pension reform, bail reform, unemployment and crime.
Assembly Speaker Vinnie Prieto and Senate President Steve Sweeney hope to hear about Christie's plan for the nearly-depleted Transportation Trust Fund and hope the speech is aimed at New Jersey and not potential presidential primary voters in New Hampshire.
“It has to be New Jersey first because that’s what he is, the governor of the State of New Jersey. The focus has to be on New Jersey. I know he’s running for higher office and I know that his plate is full now with foreign affairs and social security and all these things, but we have issues in this state that need to be addressed,” Prieto said.
