If you are concerned about what's happening in your neighborhood, what can you do? Complain to the police.

According to the Atlantic City Police Department, that's exactly what residents and business owners did.

The result? During the last week, detectives conducted surveillance operations targeting drug dealers in the 1700 block of Atlantic Avenue. In the end, eleven men, including one man twice, and one woman were arrested. Officers were able to seize cocaine, marijuana, and heroin from those that were arrested.

Those facing charges include the following:

  • A 17-year-old male from Egg Harbor City, charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and distribution of CDS.
  • 27-year-old Daniel Woods-Blackwell, from Atlantic City, who was arrested on two separate dates. He was charged with three counts of possession of CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS, distribution of CDS.
  • A 17-year-old male from Atlantic City, charged with possession of CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS, distribution of CDS, and possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public zone.
  • Another 17-year-old male from Atlantic City, also charged with possession of CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS, distribution of CDS, and possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public zone.
  • A third 17-year-old male from Atlantic City. charged with possession of CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS, distribution of CDS, and possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public zone.
  • 24-year-old Donovan Robinson of Atlantic City, charged with two counts of possession of CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS, distribution of CDS, and possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public zone.
  • 57-year-old Michael Anthony of Woodland, NJ; charged with possession of CDS.
  • 77-year-old Emilio Martinez from Atlantic City, charged with possession of CDS.
  • 19-year-old Jasmine Jones from Philadelphia, charged with possession of CDS.
  • 44-year-old Andrew Fleishman of Atlantic City, charged with possession of CDS.
  • 35-year-old Don Cross from Port Republic, charged with possession of CDS.
  • 49-year-old Christopher Wright from Atlantic City; possession of CDS.

All of the people that were arrested were released on a summons with a future court date.
