In WPG Talk Radio 1450's monthly Ask The Mayor program with Atlantic City Mayor Don Guardian, the mayor addressed the rumors of possible layoffs in the World's Playground.

In Wednesday evenings program, Mayor Don Guardian told Harry Hurley the number of layoffs in the city will be, "about a hundred."  The mayor also commented that, for the most part, layoffs won't affect city services.

Mayor Guardian also said the city plans on not bringing back 10 captains and 14 lifeguards in the city's beach patrol out of the 160 total members of the force. Lieutenants will be at every district. Mayor Guardian clarified that these are not layoffs since these positions are seasonal.
