To help raise funds for their damaged clubhouse, the Sea Isle City Italian American Club is selling festive poinsettias and wreaths for the holidays.

The Sea Isle City Italian American Club says that back in early August, a fierce Jersey shore storm badly damaged the roof of their headquarters on JFK Boulevard, leading to the development of mold and other structural issues.

So, members and volunteers have decided to embrace the Christmas spirit and channel some good will to raise donations for the Italian American Club's repairs.

Now through November 29th, the club is taking orders for high-quality poinsettias, wreathes, door swags, grave blankets and other seasonal items. Customers will be invited to pick up their orders from the VFW Post 1963 at 301 JFK Boulevard (next-door to the Italian American Club) on December 5th.

Sea Isle's Italian American Club President Colleen Buch tells SoJO 104.9, “Normally, we would be able to host in-person events to help raise the additional funds we need to fix the roof and clean up the mold, but due to the virus, this is impossible. We have always been an organization to help others in need, and now we are the ones who need help!”

If you'd like to order any of the club's holiday items, you can email italianamericanclubsic@gmail.com or call Colleen Buch at 609-374-2721.

If you'd simply like to contribute to their cause to repair their clubhouse, you can do that too by mailing your donation to P.O. Box 444, Sea Isle City, NJ  08243.

Good luck to the Sea Isle City Italian American Club, and Happy Holidays from SoJO 104.9.
