Prosecutor Releases Body Cam Video of James Kauffman’s Arrest

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's office released an extensive body cam video Tuesday of the arrest of Dr. James Kauffman outside his medical practice in Egg Harbor Township.

This video shows what appears to be uncut footage of Kauffman's arrest on June 13, 2017, after a confrontation with police attempting to execute a search warrant as part of an investigation into allegations of medical fraud.

The video includes the moments when Kauffman pulled out a gun, barricaded himself inside his medical office and told police he was going to kill himself.

On January 9, Kauffman was charged with murder in the death of his wife, April Kauffman, and with racketeering for allegedly leading a drug operation from his doctor's office.
