Revel Sold For $200M, Will Re-Open for Summer of 2018

The rumors are over and there's now an official date for the anticipated opening of the former Revel Casino in Atlantic City.

The Press of Atlantic City reports that the shuttered Revel casino will officially re-open in the summer of 2018 as the Ocean Resort Casino. A Colorado-based investor bought the former $2.4 billion Revel for $200 million.

Along with the reopening comes the opportunity of over 2,500 jobs to staff the new casino, according to The Press of Atlantic City's report. The Ocean Resort Casino will have over 2,220 slot machines and 100 table games. The convention center and concert hall may also expand.
