A suspected gas leak forced the evacuation at Jordan Road School in Somers Point this morning.

According to The Press of Atlantic City, the school fire bell could be heard ringing as parents were dropping off their children off at the school at 7:45 Monday morning.

Students and faculty gathered outside on the playground while South Jersey Gas and Somers Point Fire officials inspected the school.

More details as they become available.
