In less than 12 hours, the Eagles went from expecting DeSean Jackson to try to play again to announcing the receiver would be undergoing core muscle surgery.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receivers Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson both left the team’s Sunday night game against the Atlanta Falcons with injuries and are questionable to return.
For a large portion of the Eagles fan base, seeing DeSean Jackson come back to Philadelphia after six years to deliver his signature home run touchdown grabs was a return to normalcy.
“It was a roller coaster the past 48 hours,” Jackson admitted. “... At the start of the game, it [the anxiety] went down." Literally, [Saturday] night going to sleep, all day in meetings, I was racing, I just couldn’t stay calm."
