The Press of Atlantic City is Up For Sale

After six decades, the parent company of The Press of Atlantic City has put its local news holdings up for sale.

John F. Bitzer, III, president and CEO of ABARTA, which owns The Press Media Group, said in an article in The Press, "Stand-alone daily newspapers in medium-sized markets, while still very profitable, now have certain growth constraints that are easier for other potential owners to eliminate than they are for us as a family holding company.”

The group of traditional and digital publications include The Press of Atlantic City, At The Shore, SundaySaver, PressXtra, Real Estate Monthly, pressofatlanticcity.com, and atlanticcityinsiders.com.
