UPDATE: Ahmad Khan Rahami, wanted in this weekend's Chelsea bombing, has a criminal record in Elizabeth, Townsquare Media has learned.

ELIZABETH — The FBI is looking for a 28-year-old Elizabeth man in connection with the Saturday evening bombing in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, as well as the Saturday morning bombing in Seaside Park.

Ahmad Khan Rahami, 28, is a current or former resident of Elizabeth with another previous address in Perth Amboy. He is originally from Afghanistan and is a United States citizen, according to the FBI. He is about 5 feet and 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds. Rahami has brown hair, brown eyes, and brown facial hair.

The FBI said Rahami should be considered armed and dangerous.

New Jersey State Police in a Facebook post said Rahami is also a suspect in Saturday's explosion in Seaside Park.

In issuing an alert and wanted poster, the FBI made no mention of explosives found in Seaside Park and Elizabeth. But his last listed address in public directories was at the same location authorities had surrounded on Elmora Avenue after two homeless men found several explosive devices in a backpack in a garbage can near the Elizabeth Station.

ABC News reported that the FBI was able to identify Rahami because of unspecified evidence on a cell phone found on the unexploded pressure cook bomb in New York.

One device detonated as bomb technicians tried to disarm it. No one was hurt.

The FBI asked that anyone with information about Rahami's whereabout to call the FBI tipline at 800-CALL-FBI (800-225-5324)
