Cops in Atlantic City arrested a 12-year-old boy after he fled from police and crashed a stolen car.

Authorities say on Monday morning, an ACPD officer was stopped by a citizen on New Jersey Avenue in reference to a vehicle being driven by a juvenile at a high rate of speed.

The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver refused and then crashed into a pole in the 600 block of Connecticut Avenue.

The boy was arrested without incident. Cops say the car had been reported stolen earlier in the morning.

The boy’s mother arrived on scene; he was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division as a precaution

He was charged with receiving stolen property, eluding, and multiple motor vehicle summons, then released to his mother.
