Camden, N.J. — A 15-year-old from Trenton has been charged with murder in connection with a stabbing earlier this month that left a 28-year-old Camden man dead after he walked to a hospital and collapsed outside the parking garage.

The juvenile was arrested and charged August 22nd with first-degree murder, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.

Victim Walked to the Hospital

At approximately 2:53 AM on August 1st, Camden County Police responded to Cooper University Hospital after a stabbing victim walked in and collapsed outside the parking garage. 28-year-old Davinne Evans of Camden was pronounced dead at 3:49 AM. Officers subsequently located the crime scene in the area of Broadway and Stevens Street.

Detectives identified the 15-year-old as the suspect responsible for the stabbing.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
