2 Crashes at the Same Busy Intersection in Egg Harbor Twp., NJ, Thursday Night
One of the busiest intersections in Egg Harbor Township was the scene of two accidents Thursday night.
According to the Egg Harbor Township Police Department, the first crash at the Black Horse Pike and English Creek Avenue happened at 6:55 PM.
They say,
a vehicle driven by Olivia Reese (21 years old) of Ventnor impacted a vehicle that was stopped in traffic. The crash resulted in minor injuries to the driver of the stopped vehicle. During the investigation it was determined that Reese was under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs.
Reese was arrested and charged with numerous motor vehicle violations including driving while intoxicated and assault by auto. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.
About four hours later, a second accident occurred at the Pike and English Creek.
At 10:59 PM,
a vehicle driven by Tei-Anna Smith (26 years old) of New York made impact with a vehicle driven by Lenwood Cherry (45 years old) of Egg Harbor Township. That impact caused Cherry’s vehicle to overturn and impact a third vehicle driven by Benjamin Noisette (81 years old) of Atlantic City.
Cherry was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries. Summonses are pending the outcome of the investigation.
