2 NJ Locations of a Popular National Restaurant Chain Have Abruptly Closed

In an example of "here today, gone tomorrow," a company that owns a well-known restaurant chain has rather abruptly closed two locations in New Jersey.

Consider this: just days ago at one of the restaurants, its employees were handing out coupons and people were still scheduled to come in for job interviews.

Instead, the signs on both buildings have already been taken down, as if they never existed.

According to parsippanyfocus.com, Houlihan's in Parsippany closed on September 30th by way of a simple note posted on its door that read, in part, "we're deeply saddened to announce the permanent closure of this location."

Meanwhile, a report from patch.com says Houlihan's in Bridgewater has also closed for good.

A spokesperson for Houlihan's told that publication,

We value our employees, their dedication to the company and are working to relocate them immediately to one of our many nearby locations We are grateful for the support of our community.

Houlihan’s is part of Landry’s, Inc., which operates several big chains of restaurants, including Rainforest Cafe, Joe's Crab Shack, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Palm Restaurant, Morton's, and Chart House.

Houlihan's locations in Paramus, New Brunswick, Secaucus, Bayonne, and Ramsey remain open.
