Several of the motel occupants were relocated to other motels in the area while others were taken to a shelter with aid from the American Red Cross.

Two abandoned vehicles stuck in the flood waters along the Black Horse Pike were towed to the EHT impound lot.

Police say the water began to recede about three hours later, however, it is expected to return around tonight's high tide at 8:15.

Travelers along the Black Horse Pike in this area are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid the occurring flood waters.

No injuries were reported.
