Prosecutor: Man Sentenced On Absecon & Galloway Burglary Charges

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that a Pleasantville, New Jersey man has been sentenced on burglary charges.

Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Says:

On Thursday, July 3, 2025, Laqua Tucker, 21, from Pleasantville, New Jersey was sentenced by the Honorable Joseph Levin, J.S.C., on two counts of third-degree burglary to three years in New Jersey State Prison concurrent, said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Absecon Police Department Involvement

On January 2, 2024, officers of the Absecon Police Department responded to a break-in at the Sun Petro gas station. Absecon Police Officers noticed that a glass door was born. Additionally, they observed blood in the broken glass on the floor.

Police had lab work performed in order to identify the suspect.

Galloway Township Police Department

Galloway Township Police Officers responded to the Tobacco Outlet on May 30, 2024, following a report of a break-in.

The Police Officers saw that the glass front door was broken. Additionally, the cash registers were left open.

The suspect left fingerprints on the open cash register and law enforcement was able to identify the suspect as Tucker.

Video evidence shows Tucker using a rock and metal pole to break the glass and enter the establishment.

They located Tucker and arrested him. The police matched Tucker’s DNA to the January break in and arrested him.
