Absecon, NJ, Man Gets 5 Years in Prison For Gun at Hospital
An Absecon man has been sentenced for being found with a gun at a local hospital last year.

Authorities say on February 10, 2022, Galloway Township Police responded to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center–Mainland Campus for a report of a handgun that was found on Quasir Smith by hospital personnel.
Smith did not have a permit to carry the gun and he was placed under arrest.
On Tuesday, Smith was sentenced to five years in state prison on a charge of second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun in accordance with a plea deal with the State.
Smith will be required to serve at least 3-1/2 years behind bars before becoming eligible for parole.
