AC Cops: Drunk Driver Crashes Into Parked Car, 1-year-old Not Hurt

An alleged drunk driver who had her 1-year-old child with her crashed into a parked car in Atlantic City Tuesday afternoon.

Atlantic City Police say they responded to the 100 block of Caspian Avenue for the report of a car that had crashed into a parked car around 5:00 Tuesday afternoon. Responding officers found 38-year-old Deleisha Gadson from Atlantic City behind the wheel of her car with her one-year-old child in the backseat.

Cops say Gadson displayed signs of alcohol impairment and was arrested after field sobriety tests were conducted. The child was turned over to a family member and was not injured in the incident.

Gadson has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and numerous motor vehicle summons that include DWI, reckless driving, and having an open container of alcohol. She was released on a summons with a future court date.
