America’s ‘Best Bar Band’ Dine In Margate: Will Play Somers Point
On the eve of their much anticipated appearance in Somers Point, New Jersey tonight … a talented band who have long been called “America’s Greatest Bar Band” … dined in Margate at the beautiful home of Don Marrandino and his girl friend Sandi.
Marrandino is the now retired, former President and Chief Executive Officer of all Caesar’s Hotel & Casino properties. Marrandino also has a great deal of experience in the Las Vegas market.
Marrandino is credited with re-launching Donnie & Marie Osmond back to superstardom.
Marrandino booked them at Caesars Las Vegas, where they enjoyed a residency show and regularly won best show in Las Vegas for more than a decade.
Pictured below, (left to right) are Sandi, Don Marrandino and John Cafferty.
The great band that I am alluding to is John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band.
They will be performing tonight, Friday, June 9, 2023 on the beach at Bay Avenue in Somers Point, New Jersey.
The Somers Point Summer Concert Series was recently selected by USA Today 10Best Readers Choice Awards as the # 1 outdoors concert series in America.
John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band began as a New England based bar band in 1972.
They became the most extraordinary bar band in history and received the call from Hollywood, Sylvester Stallone and a cult classic film creator to record soundtracks which have gone multi-platinum in selling millions of records, between the Rambo movies and our locally filmed classic "Eddie & The Cruisers.
Don Marrandino hosted a great evening at his beautiful new home to entertain the band on the night before John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band are to play the number one outdoor Summer Concert Beach Music Series in Somers Point on Bay Avenue.
"John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown are the premier Rock band of their kind ever," said Don Marrandino.
"We've been playing together for more than 50 years now and Don Marrandino has been one of our greatest friends ever in the business,” said John Cafferty.

The incomparable Michael "Tunes" Antunes, the premier saxophonist for John Cafferty and the fictional "Eddie & The Cruisers Band" said that “it's an honor to once again be playing for Carmen & Nancy Marotta and everyone associated with The Somers Point Beach Concert Series. It's like coming home for us, we have so much history here,” said Antunes.
John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band will play the amphitheater on Bay Avenue tonight at 7 PM to kick off the 30th Anniversary event of The Somers Point Beach Concert Series at The Chief William Morrow Beach.

NOTE: I want to thank Don Marrandino for the invitation to attend last night’s intimate dinner in his beautiful home. I regret not being able to attend, only because of my 2:00 a.m. wake-up call.
Here is the fabulous menu that Marrandino served:
Aged marinated beef, cooked perfectly on the grill. 4-bite monster sized shrimp, perfectly sautéed crab cakes and garden salad.
The dinner was exquisite and the great company was even better.
