Was Atlantic City Council Candidate Threatened From Election?

An Atlantic City, New Jersey Council candidate has left the election contest for “personal reasons.”

However, there appears to be much more to the story. This report details what we have learned.

Official Statement of Candidate Lisa Klassman Atlantic City Council at Large

It is with a heavy heart that I make the following announcement. Effective immediately I will be withdrawing my name for personal reasons as one of the candidates for Council at Large in Atlantic City. I have enjoyed campaigning for the past several months and meeting so many of my fellow citizens. It was my honor. While I look forward to serving in some capacity in the future, now is not the right time. It is my belief that Naeem Khan, and his running mates are the best option for leading this city into the future. I will have no further comment on my personal situation; however, I will be vigorously campaigning every day for Team Naeem until victory on election day. A sincere thank you to all of my friends, family, and supporters who have come alongside me during this effort.

There is a lot of buzz all over Atlantic City about an alleged incident that happened at Klassman’s home.

A Facebook social media post by “AJ Max” reads as follows:

A good friend of ours took this off of the ring camera outside of the house in Atlantic City! What kind of complete dirt bag would do this? Imagine just waking up early and grabbing garbage just to throw it in someone’s yard before you record your normal daily video and post it on Facebook. Does anyone know who this is? XXXXXX any idea who this is in the video! We are asking you because you are normally up early maybe you saw someone while you were around town? We have other camera point of views that we can post so that we can show the mans face if that will help? Just wondering what type of scum would do this! If anyone knows who this can be please feel free to share! So far the video has over 2500 views. But that is this video! Shall we post the face of the person?

Multiple people have told me the identity of a man that they suspect dumped the trash on Klassman’s property.

There are 3 at large city council openings.

Sayed Kausar and Ron Bailey, a former Atlantic City EMT current Board of Education member are running with Khan in the November 4, 2025 General Election.
